Posted on March 20, 2020

So, you've heard about our hand sanitizer!

Did someone say, “hand sanitizer”? We can’t say, “Thank You”, enough for reaching out in every way to support us as we take on this journey into public health and well being! The calls, emails, texts, and carrier pigeons have been overwhelming and we want you to know we’re responding as quickly and efficiently as we can. With that being said, we’d like to introduce the Karrikin Hand Sanitizer FAQs list!

Karrikin Hand Sanitizer FAQs

Q: Who should I contact about requesting some sanitizer?

A: If you haven’t filled out this form yet, https://karrikinspirits.com/hand-sanitizer-request-form/, please do so. Otherwise, email sanitizer@karrikinspirits.com.

Q: Who will this be available to?

A: Karrikin’s hand sanitizer product will be available to essential healthcare employees and facilities, first responders, local businesses, and essential goods manufacturers. At this time, Karrikin cannot provide hand sanitizer to the general public due to Stay at Home orders and FDA guidelines for keeping a sanitary environment. By providing to those listed above, we’re able to have the largest impact on public health as a whole.

Q: What should I do if I can’t get hand sanitizer?

A: If you’re adhering to Stay at Home orders, social distancing, and washing your hands, you don’t need hand sanitizer! These essential products should be reserved for those working in settings deemed “essential” by our state government.

Q: How are you making hand sanitizer?

A: UPDATE: As regulations and guidelines continue to change regarding production and distribution of hand sanitizing products, we’re following FDA rules and regulations for our operations.

Q: When is it available?

A: Due to supply and demand of the ingredients and packaging, we hope to have our first batch of hand sanitizer created and packaged by the middle of next week (3/22-3/27).

UPDATE: While we continue to bring in raw materials and supplies for production of hand sanitizer, our timeline remains fluid.

Q: When can I pick some up?

A: While this question seems redundant, it’s not. With your health and safety in mind, and to continue fighting the spread of COVID-19, we’ll be establishing set hours on when individuals can pick up hand sanitizer at the distillery. In addition to keeping you (and us) safe, this will help us maintain a supply for emergency personnel and those working for the betterment of public health and safety.

UPDATE: DUE TO “STAY AT HOME” ORDERS FROM GOV. MIKE DEWINE, KARRIKIN’S HAND SANITIZER WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. WE’RE WORKING DILIGENTLY TO SUPPORT THE BEST INTEREST OF PUBLIC HEALTH BY PRODUCING THIS SANITIZER FOR ESSENTIAL HEALTHCARE, MANUFACTURING, LOCAL BUSINESS, FIRST RESPONDERS, AND HEALTHCARE EMPLOYEES.

Q: How much will it cost?

A: In addition to the 4 oz. bottles we’ll be selling for $3 each, we’ll allow bulk purchasing of the hand sanitizer at $.70/ounce. There will potentially be additional sizes, like 6 oz. bottles at a different price. We’re working on those details now.

UPDATE: DUE TO LIMITED SUPPLY OF BOTTLES IN A UNIFORM SIZE, THERE WILL BE A RANGE OF BOTTLE PRICES. WE’LL BE REFINING THIS AS WE KNOW MORE.

Q: Are you shipping it?

A: We anticipate being able to do this, but supply and demand will dictate where we’re able to ship and in what quantities.

Q: Can we bring our own bottle/dispenser?

A: That’s actually encouraged! Due to bottle shortages around the country, we’d love if you can with your own dispenser. The price will be per ounce.

UPDATE: DUE TO THE CHANGE IN DISTRIBUTION PLANS AND KEEPING A SANITARY ENVIRONMENT, WE WON’T ALLOW FILLING OF OUTSIDE CONTAINERS.

Q: Can I drink it?

A: Absolutely not!

UPDATE: STILL DON’T DRINK IT!

Q: How can we see updates?

A: The best ways are to continue visiting our Facebook and Instagram pages! And you can always email us at info@karrikinspirits.com.
